The old city of Kotor is impressive and beguiling in equal measures. Exquisitely preserved, its medieval centre is a charming jumble of narrow alleyways, piazzas, churches and palaces, cafés, bars and restaurants, creating a bustling atmosphere within the ancient walls of the city. Inaccessible by car, locals use carts and trolleys to move goods around the town.
